Ammonium alum (natural mineral Alunite) is an earth mineral that forms about 8% of the earth's crust. It has a very large molecular structure, thus does not penetrate the skin or block the pores. Ammonium Alum is different from Aluminium Zirconium or Aluminium Chlorohydrate both of which have a smaller molecular structure and do penetrate the skin.
