A wonderful all-round herb suitable for all ages. The generic name "Echinacea" comes from the Greek echinos, "hedgehog", and refers to the prickly scales of the flowers' central cone. It is considered the most effective detoxicant in Western medcine for the circulatory, lymphatic, and respiratory systems. It helps boost the immune system to fight against bacterial, fungal and viral infections. It's great for preventing and treating Colds and Flu.

Ingredients: Organic Echinacea purpose tincture 1:1.33 w/v(fresh) in 45% organic ethanol

How to use Tinctures: Tinctures are best taken around mealtimes and mixed with water or fruit juice. Some can have a slightly bitter taste, and orange juice is particularly effective in masking this. Some natural settlement commonly occurs with certain tinctures: this is entirely harmless and can be shaken in before use. If a clearer tincture is preferred, storing in a fridge can help to hold any sediment at the bottom and reduce flecking of the tincture taken. Adding tinctures to hot fluid reduces alcohol content, but it’s worth pointing out that the amount involved when taking tinctures is small. 

Echinacea is a great winter remedy but should not be taken continually for long periods e.g 6 weeks.   For serious conditions always seek the advice of a qualified herbalist or doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dosages and seek professional advice if combining herbal treatment with prescription medication
