Salvestrols are newly discovered compounds that may provide the link between diet and cancer prevention. When Salvestrols are metabolised by CYP1B1 (widely regarded as a universal cancer marker), new compounds are produced that actually cause apoptosis, or death, in the cancer cell so to destroy the diseased cell.
